My name is Andrea Beeler. I have a wonderful husband, Steve and one little girl, Macie. I am prior active duty Air Force for 10 years as a Pharmacy Technician. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology/Chemistry.
I've been Clayin-Around with polymer clay since 1999. I was first introduced to it by my grandmother, who was very persistent. Maybe she felt that I could do something with it and saw herself in me, I don't know... I began making little bears with one of the small sculpey sets. I put it down for a while only to pick it back up later to make a few more little things for my family as Christmas gifts. Everytime I saw MeMaw she had bought a new book for me to look at or something to try and inspire me. After I had made some of my first canes I was hooked. Clay began to spread like kudzoo in my house. I started looking at all kinds of clay books and tutorials on the web. I had found my God given talent with my MeMaws' help. She would call me all the time to see what I had made or tell me what she thought I needed to make. Every time I went to see her I had to take something for her to see. She always wanted to touch anything I made and thought it was the most fabulous thing she had ever seen. She was my biggest fan. She went to be with the Lord on Nov 9th 2005 and I miss her so much and think of her all the time. About one month before she passed I had gone to my first art show and won my first ribbon. I am just glad she got to share in that with me. My family is a huge support! When my mom calls and ask what I'm doing, I just say "Clayin-Around". I am now doing some art shows and enjoying sharing with others the art of polymer clay and the wonderful things you can do with it. I've never taken any classes but I am starting to teach some in the local area.
I hope you've enjoyed my website.
Thanks for visiting and God Bless.
